A for...

... anger @ the artful atrocity of the absurd ape-like animal!

(Obs. atrocity means of a very poor quality; extremely bad or unpleasant).

Except I do not know how to deal with such things, so I flower them up!

u r the apple of my eyes

...and when in NYC, going thru tunnels, we cannot talk 'cos we get disconnected!
LOL

inconspicuous

I recently photographed this sticker I found stuck to a trash can or a litter bin - the essence is the same, no matter the origin of the vocabulary. I was in a fancy part of town looking for visual stimulation of a refined style, simply because it is an obsession of mine. That is apparently how I choose to pass my time! But of course it never stops just there: the existential questioning soon pops in my thoughts and I am pushed to the next step - what am I doing "hinting" @ it all the time??? Why not just go for broke?! All the way. Risk completing with the name of my object of desire on the continuous line provided...ART.

Sane Reality

Just as you see yourself in a mirror,
form and reflection look at each other.
You are not the reflection,
yet the reflection is you.

TOSAN

Zen Relativity

When looking at the above consonant, two people were discussing: one said the "R" had fallen; the other said the "R" was merely... resting! Arguing back and forth, they could not come to an agreement. Their Master Patriarch approached and declared: "It has neither fallen nor is it resting. It is all on the angle of your mind." The two observers were struck with awe.

(Whatever!)

Blogging

This week I heard somewhere that blogging is a narcissistic need for disclosure of the people of our times. Might well be so, since we are all so damn lonely! Yet Goethe did not have access to the Internet and not even to TV, but he still understood that "thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking" - I quote him!

i had a doubt

but then i read that Shunryu Suzuki Roshi had said: "we can enjoy our life only with our limited body; without limitation nothing exists - so we should enjoy our limitations", and all my problems were suddenly solved!

the invitation

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

What if the question is not why am I so infrequently the person I really want to be, but why do I so infrequently want to be the person I really am?
