I´m not a native of this country, so Dr. Seuss's stories were not a part of my childhood! But I can´t help myself - I think these little Nordstrom's birds are indeed a couple! More: I believe they are "eagles" - again not being very acquainted with the real appearance of eagles! Sometimes ignorance works as a blessing. If one does not know the rules, one needs not worry about following them.
