judgement

Sometimes, when you run, people think you’re
running away. And that may be partially right...but sometimes
you’re trying to get to somewhere...get to a place
that will fill your soul with a love that says they’ve been
waiting just for you, and a forgiveness that doesn’t care
how you got there.

The heart seeks sanctuary,
found not in the mind,
but only in another heart.

windows and the other side

As I approached this oval window, I knew I had entered "all is
as it has to be"...
The shade of green in the "new" space, the marble setting and a calm-filled grace here, stops a bit of time and I sigh.
No more judgements, my emotional debts paid, I am held
in the believing, comforting, unconditional arms
of this place, and I am welcomed home.
I have met Myself.

the promised land

She scraped her knees on the promised land,
and washed the blood from her bullet-proof plan,
and said, “
this grace may not be who I am,
but I’ll carry it with me,
through my winnings and woundings,
it will become my stride,
holding on the fray, letting go the pride,
and through it all -
joyful this ride,
as I carry it with me."
